Excerpt of the original article.

«In a fairly radical break with tradition, Pantone has revealed that the ‘Color of the Year’ for 2016 will in fact be two colors blended together. Or, in other words, a gradient. Exterior Color of the Week: Bewitching Black

Excerpt of the original article.

«Like a certain subset of teens who came of age during the 1980s, I had a brief flirtation with the goth look, sporting black from head to toe, complete with dyed black hair, dark makeup and nail polish, and, of course, all-black clothes and shoes.»

Color of the Week: 10 Tangy Ways with Citrus Green

Excerpt of the original article.

«Ever notice that certain colors evoke a happy time, place or feeling for you? To me, summery hues such as sunny yellows, watery blues and citrus greens bring out a joyful and lighthearted vibe. The latter conjure up tropical locales, exotic flora and fauna, and, my favorite, ice-cold citrus-infused cocktails (hello, margarita!).»

Excerpt of the original article.

«What do singer Pharrell Williams, the movie franchise Despicable Me and global color authority Pantone have in common? Well, if you’ve seen the first two films in the series, then you probably know that Williams wrote and sang several tracks for the popular animated flicks (including the toe-tapping, Grammy Award–winning song “Happy” from Despicable Me 2). Color of the Week: Kelly Green

Excerpt of the original article.

«With spring slowly moving in (painfully slowly for many of you) and Saint Patrick’s Day here, I thought I’d push us all to consider a hue that isn’t often used in homes. Kelly green is an intense pure green color that purportedly got its name from the common family name in Ireland, inspired by the lush green landscapes there. »

How to Create a Sensational Dining Room with Red Panache

Excerpt of the original article.

«Red is not always the first color we turn to in the living room or the bedroom, as many of us perceive it to be a touch too overwhelming. Decorating with red in an elegant, balanced fashion takes both skill and restraint. »

«As earthy or electric as you please, this yellow-green hue brings the zing or just freshness to homes from traditional to modern. It’s a vivid, electric color. Happy, even. It’s the inside of a perfect avocado, a bed of Scotch moss or the belly of a lovebird. Chartreus is halfway between green and yellow… »
